# Backup as a Service

> Backup as a Service is a commercial Proxmox backup offering by OneSystems GmbH (Wattwil, Switzerland). It provides a dedicated datastore in a Swiss data centre as a backup target. Public site: https://www.backup-as-a-service.cloud/

Customers connect the datastore from Proxmox Backup Server, Proxmox VE, Proxmox Mail Gateway or BackupPilot (Linux hosts, https://git.onesystems.ch/BackupPilot/App). There is no proprietary agent. Client-side encryption is available but not enforced: the customer decides whether backups are encrypted before transfer. The key stays exclusively with the customer. OneSystems cannot enforce this policy server-side.

Billing is monthly in arrears for used storage (CHF per GB), with a plan minimum. The three plans are the same service; only the volume tier differs. Plans: Personal (0.08 CHF/GB, min. 20 CHF), Professional (0.05 CHF/GB, min. 50 CHF), Business (0.03 CHF/GB, min. 100 CHF). Prices exclude VAT.
